This jumper and Sufjan Steven’s Songs For Christmas are two things that I do love about Christmas.

My family doesn’t really do gifts – even secret santa got scrapped this year! But we do always have Christmas breakfast together, after we perform our tradition of re-giving childhood gifts/re-gifted garbage…

Christmas really means Woodford to me.

지하 Underground happened, and it is all a blur to me. Friends and lovers from Korea and Australia came together not only to understand and present characters that don’t fit easily into the boxes of gender and culture – but also to create a space for the actors and the audience to feel safe with these characters. And, the chosen force to achieve all of this was LOVE. Unconditional, ever present, courageous love.

The roughness of our storytelling achieved the honesty we were after. The care we have for eachother created a strong ensemble. The space was transformed. The music was strong. There was beer and soju and attractive people.

I am forever grateful to Roger Rynd, my friend, who set this entire thing up.
